Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What are the benefits of using 3D CAD vs 2D CAD?
A. 3D models give you a more realistic view than 2D drawings. 3D models are suitable for design reviews with other members of a design team. Construction and shop fabrication drawings created from the 3D model assures accuracy in the final product.
Q. What is Digital Prototyping
A. Digital Prototyping goes beyond simply creating product designs in 3D. It gives product development teams a way to assess the operation of moving parts, to determine whether or not the product will fail, and see how the various product components interact with subsystems—either pneumatic or electric. By simulating and validating the real-world performance of a product design digitally, manufacturers often can reduce the number of physical prototypes they need to create before a product can be manufactured, reducing the cost and time needed for physical prototyping.
Q. Which CAD design software are we currently using?
A. We hold a license of the Autodesk Product Design Software that includes Autodesk® Inventor® Professional. Design files can be easily converted to match any other engineering software.
Q. Can you work with and supply CAD extension files from any other different standard design software?
A. Yes we can, Our CAD software Autodesk® Inventor® Professional offer CAD file conversion and translation capabilities which is a tool that reads and writes files from other CAD applications and translators for industry-standard formats.
Q. Can you travel to visit us onsite?
A. Yes we can, we are based in Balnarring Victoria, but we are happy to organise a visit to your site.
